Below Ground
Electric dog fences have been in the market for quite some time. Developing a safe and effective pet safety system has always been done for the sake of pets and their owners. The idea of the electric fence has evolved from its crude proto-type. Fences of old were more generic, both as human and animal barrier. The thrust of today's pet fence research and development is concentrated in providing your pet dog the freedom it needs off leash at the same safely keeping it on your property; away from speeding cars and abuse from strangers.
As technology evolves to suit our human needs, our pets become the victims of misuse and abuse. A considerable hit and run cases have plagued pet owners too. Some pet owners have resorted to tether their dogs in the backyard without proper shelter, water or at times food. The act that was supposed to keep them off the streets paved the way for owners to neglect their pets. With strict laws that prosecute animal abuse list tethering an animal more than 3 hrs. constitutes abuse.
Electric dog fences are originally for Below Ground installation. Before any digging has to be done a manual instructs the proper way to plan, plot, mark and dig/bury the unit's wire. The electric dog fence, when decided to be installed Below Ground calls for checking the quality of earth your plot will encounter. Sometimes there are patches of earth that do not make a suitable trench. In any case, Below Ground installation requires a foot and a half deep trench to be dug to bury the wire. Plotting may also include not safe places you'd like to keep your pet dog away from, such as: pool, flower beds, pond and garbage. Yup, just one electric fence unit can keep your pet away from those spots and other places around your area you think is hazardous to them.
Below Ground installations keep unsightly wires snaking to and fro the ground. They also make it difficult to trip over any of the wires. Less clutter is seen and your pet will have the freedom it has some to know
Once you've planned and plotted, marking is a chore that can be turned into a teaching session. All electric dog fence units include flag markers that you can use to initially train your pets to visually see the area available to them.
